The creative tourism brand project "#ddHKDesign#Hong Kong Land" organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Commission will return with great success from December 12, 2024 to February 14, 2025, leading tourists from all over the world to explore Tsuen Wan and Sha Tau Kok. a fascinating community. The new event planned by the curatorial team Number 2 is themed "Travel and Creativity and other different themed and featured tours to attract tourists to experience a different Hong Kong in depth.
Gathering overseas, mainland and local creative units to illuminate historic sites and nature with creative installations
"#ddHKDesign#Hong Kong Land" will continue to use design and creativity to create a new travel experience for tourists. This year, seven groups of creative units from overseas, mainland and local people have been specially invited to inject creative elements through place creation to outline the landscape of Tsuen Wan and Sha Tau Kok’s unique cultural features and community charm. Among them, the project specially sets up creative installations at statutory monuments, country parks and at sea to combine tourism, design, traditional culture and natural scenery. In addition, the event will also take advantage of the district's special attractions, including cultural and creative hotspots, cultural relics and historic sites, natural beauty and authentic food, to provide visitors with a series of exciting in-depth travel routes and insights.
A new and diverse experience. Creative units participating in this event include: animation artist Coolman Coffeedan (USA), interactive installation creation team ENESS (Australia), multi-faceted artist En Iwamura (Japan), floral installation artist Kiki Ji (Mainland), Contemporary artist Louis To Wun (Hong Kong), artist and illustrator Vivian Ho (Hong Kong), and knot designer Zoe Siu (Hong Kong). Animation artist Coolman Coffeedan (USA)
"Township Friends Have You"
Coolman Coffeedan will interpret the story of Tsuen Wan with its new work "Township Friends" at Sai Lau Kok Garden, one of the most popular meeting points in Tsuen Wan. The popular animated protagonist Spesh will lead a group of friends on their first tour of Tsuen Wan to explore and experience the vitality of this community.
Interactive installation creation team ENESS (Australia)
"Happy Cupid's Garden"
ENESS brings the world's first inflatable fountain "Happy Cupid Garden" to Tsuen Wan Park. Bright patterns flow through interactive water and rich sound effects, and little cupids and koi fish appear every time someone stops to admire it.

"The Flow of the Wind"
Inspired by the elegant flow of wind and water, as well as the graceful posture of butterflies, the artist combined traditional bamboo techniques with modern styles to add a touch of "Flow of the Wind" to Shing Mun Country Park. Smooth lines and dynamics,

"Praying for a New Dream"
Inspired by the pattern on the colorful door of Sam Tung Uk Museum, a declared monument in Tsuen Wan, the designer combined the cultural customs of traditional prayers with contemporary auspicious themes, using the criss-cross weaving method of Hakka flower ribbons to create this second-story building.
The outer walls of the Hakka walled village with a history of more than 100 years are draped in new clothes, "Praying for New Dreams", reinterpreting the charm of Hakka culture and intangible cultural heritage.

"Intertwining Horizons"
Intertwined Horizons explores the connections between oceans, mountains, geology, islands and even the sun and moon. This creative floating device is located in the bay opposite Sha Tau Kok Pier. With mountains and rivers as the background, it blends in with the natural scenery.

"Fish Leap and Dance Together"

They dance in the waves, interacting gracefully and lifelikely, showing the wish for the harmonious coexistence of nature and people, and also embodying the fishermen of Sha Tau Kok. "Sha Kok Train"
The "Sha Kok Train" located at the Sha Tau Kok Seaside Sitting Area carries the daily life of Sha Tau Kok residents and showcases the unique history, culture and community appearance of the area. The artist uses vibrant and colorful illustrations to present the residents’ stories on the train, coupled with the multimedia immersive experience in the carriage, showing the unique charm of the area.

In addition to injecting creative elements into the community, "#ddHKDesign#香港地" also collaborates with teams from different sectors to plan a series of selected programs full of authentic cultural characteristics. A variety of themed guided tours provide diversified in-depth tour routes for tourists with different interests, including "City Gate Purification Tour" to explore nature, "Explore the Secret World of Sha Tau Kok" in the northeastern New Territories Tour", "Tsuen Wan Hoi Dao Art Cycling Tour" that combines sports and culture, and "Tsuen Wan Art Hidden Tour" that goes deep into historical and cultural landmarks, etc. Exciting programs include a variety of programs covering art, environmental protection, authentic cultural handicraft experiences, and traditional dances.
